IMO Bio Certification
As importer and exporter of raw materials and products from controlled biological crops, it goes without saying that the Bio-Certificate according to EG2092/91 will be used for this project.

The sachia seed is also kosher and NOP certified for the American market.

We work together with the renowned and worldwide operating Swiss Institute for Market Ecology, IMO, which carried out the controls and certifications in Mexico itselft.

Genetically Modified Organisms

Through our influence on the cultivation of the sachia seeds and the crop and filed rotation in the Cooperative, we can always point out the problems of the genetic environmental pollution.

Apart from this the Mexican government has expressed a clear ban on the use of genetically manipulated seeds.

However there is no guarantee that other genes can be transferred, either by contamination or wild pollination from fields nearby. Therefore all seeds are controlled regularly for gene modified residues.

Naturkost Uebelhoer GmbH & Co. KG has the goal, along with many other enterprises in the natural foods market, to keep its products free of gene modified organisms, as long as possible.

Since the beginning of 2007 Naturkost Uebelhoer GmbH & Co. KG is ISO DIN 9001-2000 and HACCP certified.

In our sachia project in Mexico we will make large efforts to guarantee a secure production and processing of the raw materials. Therefore we are striving for the GMP and HACCP certification locally, as soon as possible.

The GMP Standard, Good Manufacturing Practice, offers the identification of dangers and risks and judges specific hygienic measures for the production. The GMP is a good preliminary stage towards the HACCP certification.
